Jamie Johnson (ice Hockey)
Jamie Johnson (born January 23, 1982) is a Canadian former professional ice hockey player. He last played for Herning Blue Fox of the Danish Metal Ligaen. Early life Johnson was born in Port Franks, Ontario. He played junior hockey with the Sarnia Sting and the Oshawa Generals in the Ontario Hockey League. Johnson made his professional debut in the ECHL with the Louisiana IceGators in the 2003–04 season. Career On July 6, 2010, Johnson was signed as a free agent by the Detroit Red Wings. On July 18, 2012, after a strong season in the American Hockey League with the Grand Rapids Griffins, Johnson signaled his intent to return to Europe in signing a two-year contract with Dinamo Riga of the Kontinental Hockey League. Metal Ligaen is the premier league in Danish ice hockey. The league consists of 9 professional teams. The name of the league has changed many times, but is being sponsored by Dansk Metal and therefore got the name Metalligaen. History It is also known as Superisligaen or Eliteserien, which is the name used in the past and in times where no naming rights agreement is in place. Ontario Tech Ridgebacks
The Ontario Tech Ridgebacks are the athletic teams that represent Ontario Tech University in Oshawa, Ontario, Canada. The Ridgebacks have been competing in Ontario University Athletics since 2006 and have been a member of U Sports since 2008. The Ontario Tech Ridgebacks compete in badminton, soccer, lacrosse, curling, golf, rowing, dance, and hockey. Formerly, the Ridgebacks had a tennis program.
