Jamie Hunter is an English snooker player. She started playing on the World Women's Snooker tour in 2021 and has won two ranking tournaments, the 2022 US Women's Open and the 2022 Australian Women's Open. Career At the 2021 EBSA European Snooker Championship, Hunter won all three of her group stage matches, then defeated Caty Dehaene, Stephanie Daughtery and Anastasia Nechaeva to reach the final, where she faced 12-time champion Wendy Jans. Jans took a 3–0 lead in the best-of-seven s final, and won 4–1. In the women's team event, Hunter and Mary Talbot-Deegan won the title by defeating Rebecca Kenna and Emma Parker 3–2 in the final. World Women's Snooker
World Women's Snooker, founded as the World Ladies Billiards and Snooker Association (WLBSA) in 1981, and known as World Ladies Billiards and Snooker (WLBS) from 2015 to 2018, is a subsidiary company of the World Professional Billiards and Snooker Association concerned with governing and promoting snooker and billiards for women. 2022 World Women's Snooker Championship
The 2022 World Women's Snooker Championship was a women's snooker tournament that took place at the Ding Junhui Snooker Academy in Sheffield, England from 11 to 14 February 2022. It was the first staging of the World Women's Snooker Championship since 2019, following an 18-month suspension of the World Women's Snooker Tour between March 2020 and August 2021, due to the COVID-19 pandemic. In addition to receiving the newly renamed Mandy Fisher Trophy, the winner of the tournament earned a place on the professional World Snooker Tour from the start of the 2022–23 snooker season. The 2023 World Women's Snooker Championship was a women's snooker tournament that took place from 28 February to 4 March 2023 at the Hi-End Snooker Club in Bangkok, Thailand, sponsored by the venue and by the Billiard Sports Association of Thailand. The winner received £8,000 from a total prize fund of £25,800 and also earned a two-year tour card on the main professional World Snooker Tour from the start of the 2023–24 snooker season.
