Jamie Griffiths
Jamie Griffiths (born 4 January 1992) is an English footballer who plays as a midfielder or striker for Long Melford on loan from Needham Market. He previously played for Ipswich Town, Plymouth Argyle, Kettering Town, A.F.C. Sudbury and Long Melford F.C. Career Ipswich Town Griffiths joined Ipswich Town at the age of eight, having been spotted playing for local Suffolk team Cornard Dynamos. He progressed through the club's youth system and was offered a professional contract by manager Roy Keane in April 2010. Griffiths made his first team debut in a 3–1 League Cup win against Northampton Town on 26 October 2010, coming on as a substitute for Carlos Edwards. A double stress fracture in his back kept Griffiths out for a couple of months, but he was offered a six-month contract extension by new manager Paul Jewell. Paul Jewell
Paul Jewell (born 28 September 1964) is an English football manager and former player, who was most recently director of football at Swindon Town. Jewell began his playing career with Liverpool, continued at Wigan Athletic and concluded in a ten-year spell with Bradford City, apart from a short loan spell with Grimsby Town. When his playing career ended, he became part of the coaching staff at Bradford City. Jewell was appointed manager in 1998 and took City to the Premier League before resigning and becoming manager of Sheffield Wednesday. He returned to Wigan Athletic to win a second promotion to the Premier League, but resigned a day after he kept them up in the 2006–07 season. He later joined Derby County on 28 November 2007, before resigning 13 months later. Great Cornard
Great Cornard is a large village and civil parish that is part of the town of Sudbury, in the Babergh district, in the county of Suffolk, England. History The area now called Great Cornard has been occupied since pre-history, with evidence of Palaeolithic, Bronze Age and Roman settlements in the parish. The village is accounted for in the Domesday Book of 1086 as the manor of Cornard. The village was consistently a small one until the 20th century. Following the turn of the century the population steadily increased and a council estate was built in the 1960s. In the 1950s and 60s the village was greatly expanded following the County of London Plan, with the village taking in London overspill. The Southern League is a men's football competition featuring semi-professional clubs from the South and Midlands of England.
