Jamie Dick
James A. Dick V (born February 5, 1989) is an American professional stock car racing driver. A veteran of the NASCAR K&N Pro Series West, Camping World West Series, he last competed in the NASCAR Xfinity Series on a part-time basis, driving the No. 55 Chevrolet for Viva Motorsports. Racing career Dick began his racing career at the age of nine, competing in kart racing events, before soon moving up to Legends car racing, and then late model competition, including competing in the SRL Southwest Tour. In 2007, at the age of 18, he moved up to the NASCAR West Series - renamed Camping World West Series the following year - scoring eight top 10 and one top 5 finishes over the next two years of competition. In 2009, Dick made his debut in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series at Iowa Speedway; he ran a limited schedule in the series over the next two years, scoring a best finish of 16th at Iowa Speedway in 2010. The ARCA Menards Series West, formerly the NASCAR K&N Pro Series West, NASCAR AutoZone West Series, NASCAR Winston West Series and NASCAR Camping World West Series, is a regional stock car racing series owned and operated by the Automobile Racing Club of America (ARCA) and the National Association for Stock Car Auto Racing (NASCAR). The series was first formed in 1954 as a proving ground for drivers from the western United States who could not travel to race in the more traditional stock car racing regions like North Carolina and the rest of the southern United States. Legends car racing is a style of auto racing designed primarily to promote exciting racing and to keep costs down. The race car bodyshells are 5/8-scale replicas of American automobiles from the 1930s and 1940s, powered by Yamaha XJ1250, FJ1200 (both air-cooled) or, starting in 2018, FZ09 (water-cooled) engines.
