Jamie Chandler (born 24 March 1989) is an English former professional Association football, footballer who played as a midfielder. He is currently manager of Spennymoor Town F.C., Spennymoor Town. Career Chandler was born in South Shields and was brought up in Boldon. He began his career at Sunderland A.F.C., Sunderland, and while with that club was cap (sport), capped several times by England at levels from England national under-16 football team, under-16 to England national under-19 football team, under-19. He signed his first professional contract in 2007, after recovering from a broken leg. South Shields
South Shields () is a coastal town in South Tyneside, Tyne and Wear, England. It is on the south bank of the mouth of the River Tyne. Historically, it was known in Roman times as Arbeia, and as Caer Urfa by Early Middle Ages. According to the 2011 census, the town had a population of 75,337. The Football Association Challenge Cup, more commonly known as the FA Cup, is an annual knockout football competition in men's domestic English football. The Football Association Challenge Trophy, commonly known as the FA Trophy, is a men's football knockout cup competition run by and named after the English Football Association and competed for primarily by semi-professional teams. The competition was instigated in 1969 to cater to those non-league clubs that paid their players and were therefore not eligible to enter the FA Amateur Cup.
