Jamia Farooqia
Jamia Farooqia is an Islamic seminary in Pakistan, having two branches, one located in the Shah Faisal Colony in Karachi, and the other in Hub Chowki. Established in 1967 by Saleemullah Khan, an alumnus of Darul Uloom Deoband, the seminary has over 2300 students. History Jamia Farooqia was established in 1967 by Saleemullah Khan. Islamic University
The term "Islamic university" ( ar, الجامعة الإسلامية, ''Jami'ah Islamiyah''), sometimes called madrasah jāmiʿah ( ar, مدرسة جامعة), can be used to describe secular educational institutions that were founded by people of Islamic tradition as well as institutions that focus on teaching Islam as a main curriculum. Deobandi Islamic Universities And Colleges
Deobandi is a revivalist movement within Sunni Islam, adhering to the Hanafi school of law, formed in the late 19th century around the Darul Uloom Madrassa in Deoband, India, from which the name derives, by Muhammad Qasim Nanautavi, Rashid Ahmad Gangohi, and several others, after the Indian Rebellion of 1857–58. Qari Hussain
Qari Hussain Ahmad Mehsud (Pashto/Urdu: قارى حسین احمد) (6 December 1988 – 7 October 2010) was a top lieutenant in the Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) and the organizer of the group's suicide bombing squads. He was a cousin of Hakimullah Mehsud. Education Hussain studied at the Jamia Farooqia seminary for four years. Operations Hussain ran a training camp for suicide bombers in South Waziristan and had been active in violent acts against the Pakistani government. In May 2007 he directed a campaign of attacks in the Federally Administered Tribal Areas. The attacks included targeted killings of tribal elders and political agents, and attacks on police which resulted in many civilian deaths. Nizamuddin Shamzai
Nizamuddin Shamzai (12 July 1952 – 30 May 2004) was a pro-Taliban Pakistani Sunni Islamic scholar and the senior professor of hadith at the Jamia Uloom-ul-Islamia. He was considered "one of the most important Deobandi figures in Pakistan" and the mentor of Mullah Mohammed Omar. He issued religious edicts and travelled to elicit support for the Taliban. Biography Shamzai received his early education from his native town in Swat District. In the 1960s he migrated to Karachi to study at Jamia Darul Khair then he enrolled in Jamia Farooqia, Karachi. The Darul Uloom Deoband is an Islamic seminary (darul uloom) in India at which the Sunni Deobandi Islamic movement began. It is located in Deoband, a town in Saharanpur district, Uttar Pradesh. Saleemullah Khan
Saleemullah Khan (1921 – 15 January 2017) was a Pakistani Islamic scholar and former President of Wifaq ul Madaris Al-Arabia, Pakistan. His students include Muhammad Rafi Usmani and Muhammad Taqi Usmani. Khan established Jamia Farooqia in Karachi in 1967. Education and career Saleemullah Khan was born in Muzaffarnagar, India.
