Jamestown High School (New York)
Jamestown High School (JHS) is a public high school located in Jamestown, New York, United States. It is the sole public high school within the city limits of Jamestown, and educates high school freshmen, sophomores, juniors, and seniors. It is within the Jamestown Public Schools school district. History 1903 marked the publishing of the first yearbook. In 1934, the present building began construction as part of Roosevelt's New Deal. The new school building was officially finished on November 15, 1935. From 1984–87, the school went through modernization, including the construction of a new gym. On November 6, 2019 a 4-student fight caused Principal Rosemary Bradley to issue a school-wide lockdown. This led to the majority of the Board of Education voting on a lack of confidence in her. Advanced Placement (AP) is a program in the United States and Canada created by the College Board which offers college-level curricula and examinations to high school students. American colleges and universities may grant placement and course credit to students who obtain high scores on the examinations. Jamestown Community College is a public community college with campuses in Jamestown and Olean, New York. It is part of the State University of New York system. North Rockland High School (NRHS) is public, co-educational high school located in Thiells, New York, serving 9th to 12th grade students from the northern section of Rockland County, in southern New York. The building was formerly used as an education center for the nearby Letchworth Village mental institution. New York State Field Band Conference
The New York State Field Band Conference or NYSFBC is a local circuit for marching band competitions, based in the U.S. state of New York. Championships are held at the JMA Wireless Dome in Syracuse, New York each year in the last week of October or first week of November. The conference was created in February 1972 to standardize rules and provide constructive feedback at competitions. Mission Purpose The New York State Field Band Conference, Inc. was formed on Feb. 6, 1972 for the purpose of regulating and scheduling field band events in New York State, and for the enhancement of school field band competitions. Stephen Carlson (born December 12, 1996) is an American football tight end who is currently a free agent. He played college football at Princeton. Professional career After going undrafted in the 2019 NFL Draft, Carlson signed with the Cleveland Browns as an undrafted free agent in May 2019.
