James Wilson (footballer, Born 1989)
James Steven Wilson (born 26 February 1989) is a Welsh professional footballer who plays as a defender for club Bristol Rovers. He has also represented Wales at international level. Primarily a centre-back, he can also play at right-back. Club career Bristol City Wilson began his career at Bristol City, graduating from the club's academy before going on to make his debut for the first-team in 2008. He scored on his debut for the club on 26 August 2008, in a 2–1 League Cup loss to Crewe Alexandra at Gresty Road. He was loaned out to Brentford for the first three months of the 2008–09 season, where he put in a number of impressive performances in a central defensive partnership with Reading loanee Alan Bennett. Gareth Ainsworth (born 10 May 1973) is an English professional former player and football manager who is the manager of club Gillingham. A former youth player at Blackburn Rovers, the midfielder, who was known for his crossing ability, moved to Preston North End in 1992 after impressing at non-League Northwich Victoria. Alan John Bennett (born 4 October 1981) is an Irish former professional footballer who played as a defender. He has represented the Republic of Ireland national team. Club career Cork City Bennett was born in Cork, Ireland on 4 October 1981. He began his footballing career at his local club Richmond, based in Waterfall, County Cork, which competes in the West Cork League. He was coached by highly regarded coach Colm Donovan.
