James Stephen Hart
James Hart (born August 26, 1979) is an American vocalist, best known as the frontman and founding member of the metalcore band Eighteen Visions. He is also a founding member of the band Burn Halo, in which played since its inception in 2007 until 2016. Early life Hart was born on August 26, 1979, in Chicago, Illinois. His family moved to California when he was 6. Growing up, he played baseball and football a lot. He considers himself a lifelong Chicago Cubs and Chicago Bears fan. His parents separated and divorced when he was 11, with his father moving away back to Chicago. In 2017, Hart said that both of his parents had been struggling with alcohol at that time, which, in his opinion, ruined their marriage and chance for a happy family life. He also cited that as a major driving force behind his abstinence from alcohol and drugs from a very young age. The Nixons are an American alternative rock band formed in 1989. They found commercial success during the mid-1990s, releasing two albums through MCA Records in 1995–1997. ''XVIII'' (18 in Roman numerals) is the sixth studio album by Eighteen Visions. It was released on June 2, 2017. It is the band's first album in 11 years, following its breakup in 2007. It is also the band's first release on Rise Records. According to Metal Insider, the album sold 3,525 units in its first week and is the band's highest-charting effort to date. The album peaked at number 49 on the Billboard Top Current Albums chart. This album saw the band take a step away from its metalcore roots in favor of a new, more melodic tone. Some countries have added two bonus tracks. ''Obsession'' is an album by Eighteen Visions. The album was their most commercially successful to date, and featured three music videos. Some editions of this album come with a DVD that features a 'making of' the album. The album has sold over 200,000 copies in the US. The album peaked at #4 on the Heatseekers chart in the US. It was their first album to feature a music video, which was for "You Broke Like Glass". ''The Best of Eighteen Visions'' is the third full-length album by metalcore band Eighteen Visions. Despite its title, it is not a compilation of previously-released material; all of the material was newly recorded especially for this release. Its title hints to the fact that for this release, the band chose the ''best'' material from their prior out-of-print releases and re-recorded these songs to create a new album. It also includes the newly-written song "Motionless and White". Two songs were re-recorded from their debut EP ''Lifeless'': "Slipping Through the Hands of God" and "Life's Blood". Until The Ink Runs Out
''Until The Ink Runs Out'' is the second full-length album released by metalcore band Eighteen Visions. It is often considered to be the bands' finest release by much of the older fans, as well as the record that gathered national attention for the band, due to the rising of Trustkill Records. The album was recorded in a four-day session at Doubletime Studios, where they had previously recorded twice (once for a demo sometime in 1999, and once for the No Time for Love session) for a budget of just over one grand. This was the band's first release to feature Keith Barney on guitar, and would ultimately be the last to feature Javier van Huss on bass. Good Life Recordings 12" vinyl came out first. The vinyl had the words "Hair Dressers of the World" on side A and "Unite!" on side B on the matrix runout. It was limited to a pressing of 1000 on black and 200 on pink. Eighteen Visions is an American metalcore band from Orange County, California, formed in October 1995. The band broke up in April 2007, less than a year after their major label debut was released through Epic and Trustkill Records. After over a decade of absence, the band reformed in 2017. They announced their sixth album, '' XVIII'', would be released via their new label home at Rise Records. History Beginnings (1995–2000) Eighteen Visions was founded in October 1995 by James Hart, Dave Peters, Billy Sisler, and Kenneth Floyd under the name "Macabre".
