James Rutledge
James Rutledge is an English, London-based musician, record producer and remixer. He is from Ashbourne, Derbyshire, England. Life James Rutledge studied at Queen Elizabeth's Grammar School, Ashbourne alongside fellow musician Dave Tyack, before reading English Literature at St Anne's College, Oxford between 1996 and 1999. Career Rutledge recorded initially under the name Pedro, with his first EP in 1999 launching Manchester's Melodic Records. The name Pedro was derived from the main protagonist in the Alex Cox film ''El Patrullero''. He has also recorded as Vowels and played with Ashbourne's Strongest Man, Chapters and D.O.T. (the latter in collaboration with Dave Tyack). He has released work on the labels 4AD, Domino, Melodic, Moshi Moshi, Mush, RCA and Warp. Ashbourne, Derbyshire
Ashbourne is a market town in the Derbyshire Dales district in Derbyshire, England. Its population was measured at 8,377 in the 2011 census and was estimated to have grown to 9,163 by 2019. It has many historical buildings and independent shops. The town offers a historic annual Shrovetide football match. Its position near the southern edge of the Peak District makes it the closest town to Dovedale, to which Ashbourne is sometimes referred to as the gateway. The town is west of Derby, south-east of Buxton, east of Stoke-on-Trent, south-south-east of Manchester, south-west of Sheffield and north of Lichfield. Fever Ray
Karin Elisabeth Dreijer (born 7 April 1975) is a Swedish singer-songwriter and record producer. Dreijer was one half of the electronic music duo the Knife, formed with their brother Olof Dreijer. Dreijer released their debut solo album under the alias Fever Ray in January 2009. Their second studio album, '' Plunge'', under the same alias, was released in October 2017. Dreijer's vocal style is notable for both shrill and deep tones, and also the use of multitracked vocals, with different uses of pitch-shifting technology on each track, creating an intricate and mysterious effect. MGMT () is an American indie rock band formed in 2002 in Middletown, Connecticut. It was founded by multi-instrumentalists Andrew VanWyngarden and Ben Goldwasser. Alongside VanWyngarden and Goldwasser, MGMT's live lineup currently consists of drummer Will Berman, bassist Simon O'Connor, and guitarist and keyboard James Richardson. Bloc Party
Bloc Party are an English Rock music, rock band, composed of Kele Okereke (lead vocals, rhythm guitar, keyboards, sampler), Russell Lissack (lead guitar, keyboards), Justin Harris (bass guitar, keyboards, saxophones, backing vocals) and Louise Bartle (drums, percussion). Former members Matt Tong and Gordon Moakes left the band in 2013 and 2015 respectively.
