James Reed (American Football)
James Reed (born February 3, 1977) is a former American football defensive tackle that played in the National Football League (NFL). He was drafted by the New York Jets in the seventh round of the 2001 NFL Draft. He played college football at Iowa State. Reed has also played for the Kansas City Chiefs and New Orleans Saints. High School Career James Reed went to Saginaw High School in Saginaw, Michigan. He played offensive tackle his junior year, and started at Middle Linebacker his senior year. James Reed (born c. 1722–1807) was a military officer in the French and Indian War and the American Revolution, rising to the rank of brigadier general in the latter conflict. Biography Reed was born in Lunenburg or Woburn, Massachusetts. In 1742, James married Abigail Hinds, whose father was Hopestill Hinds. Abigail was born 4 March 1723 in Brookfield, Massachusetts, but is said to have been living in New Salem, Massachusetts. During the French and Indian War, Reed served as an officer in Colonel Brown's Massachusetts Regiment, becoming a lieutenant colonel. He was at Fort Ticonderoga in both 1758 and when it fell in 1759. He was the original proprietor of Monadnock township no. 4, now Fitzwilliam, New Hampshire. James Earl Reed
James Earl Reed (November 26, 1958 – June 20, 2008) was an American convicted murderer put to death in the state of South Carolina by electrocution in " Old Sparky", the state's electric chair. He is currently the last person executed in South Carolina via electrocution. Killings Reed and 28-year-old Laurie Rego dated briefly while they were both in the United States Army. Sometime after Rego tried to end the relationship, Reed pleaded guilty to assault and was sentenced to 37 months in prison. While incarcerated, he wrote numerous threatening letters to Rego. In May 1994, Reed was released from prison. Shortly afterwards he bought a gun and hitchhiked to the home of Rego's parents, Joseph and Barbara Ann Lafayette, who lived in Adams Run, South Carolina, looking for her. James Hay Reed (September 10, 1853 – June 17, 1927) was a United States district judge of the United States District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania. With partner Philander C. Knox, he formed the law firm of Knox and Reed. Early life and education Born on September 10, 1853, in Allegheny, Pennsylvania, Reed received an Master of Arts degree in 1872 from the Western University of Pennsylvania (now the University of Pittsburgh) and read law in 1875. James "J" Sewall Reed is best remembered as an organizer of a few hundred Californians who fought in the eastern battlefields of the American Civil War as part of the 2nd Massachusetts Cavalry while most soldiers from California were assigned to Union Army outposts west of the Mississippi River. Early years James was the eldest of three sons of John Reed and Miranda Barker. He was born in Milton, Massachusetts on 3 April 1832. Mathis James Reed (September 6, 1925 – August 29, 1976) was an American blues musician and songwriter. His particular style of electric blues was popular with blues as well as non-blues audiences.
