James William Park (14 February 1910 – 9 February 1943) was an Australian rules footballer who played with Carlton in the Victorian Football League (VFL) during the 1930s. He died in action, in New Guinea, whilst serving with the Second AIF. Family Born in Bendigo on 14 February 1910 to Dr. Alexander Park (1868–1929) and Ethel Marion Park (1881–1966), née Reilly, James William Park had three brothers, Alex, George, and Bob, and three sisters, Ethel, Hilda and Jean. James "Jim" Park (born June 22, 1952) is a Canadian former professional ice hockey goaltender and the creator of a series of instructional tapes for hockey goaltenders entitled "The Puck Stops Here" (1986). Early life Park was born in Toronto. As a youth, he played in the 1964 and 1965 Quebec International Pee-Wee Hockey Tournaments with a minor ice hockey team from Don Mills, and then the Toronto Shopsy's team. Career Between 1975 and 1978, Park played three seasons and 54 games with the Indianapolis Racers of the World Hockey Association (WHA). He later operated his own academy for goaltenders. James Park (geologist)
James Park (2 July 1857 – 28 July 1946) was a Scottish-born geologist, director of school of mines, university professor, explorer, and writer, who was active in New Zealand. He was director of the Thames School of Mines for seven years, and went on to become the dean of the mining faculty at the University of Otago for 18 years. Early life He was born in Kintore, Aberdeenshire, in Scotland on 2 July 1857 to James Park and Mary Snowie. His father and grandfather were engineers. He studied at the Royal School of Mines in London from 1872 until 1874. He emigrated to New Zealand with his sister in 1875. Sir James Allan Park KC (6 April 17638 December 1838) was a British judge and legal writer. Life He was the son of James Park, a surgeon from Edinburgh, and was brought up in Edinburgh until his father's practice moved to Surrey. He was educated first at Northampton Grammar School and then at Lincoln's Inn. He was called to the bar on 18 June 1784 and in 1787 published a successful ''Treatise on the Law of Marine Insurance'', which was reprinted six times during his life. That book drew much on the cases of Lord Mansfield. It brought him a good practice. As an advocate, he made more of a reputation for care than for eloquence.
