James Magner
James Magner (born 12 August 1987) is an Australian rules football player who formerly played professionally at the Melbourne Football Club in the Australian Football League (AFL). Early career After playing junior football for the Beaconsfield Football Club, Magner played under 18s football TAC Cup football for the Dandenong Stingrays until 2006, including one season as an over-age player after his 2005 season was limited by injury. He nominated for, but was not recruited in, the AFL National Drafts in 2005 and 2006. In 2007, Magner joined the Frankston Football Club in the Victorian Football League, where he played until 2009. At Frankston, he made his name as both a tagger, and a hard in-and-under midfielder. In 2010, Magner moved to the Sandringham Football Club, where he played for two seasons. Dandenong Stingrays
The Dandenong Southern Stingrays are an Australian rules football team in the NAB League, the Victorian statewide under-18s competition. 1992 saw the birth of the Southern Stingrays, developed under the leadership of Steve Kennedy (Regional Manager) and Ron Roach (Promotions Manager) with its home base located at Ben Kavanagh Reserve, Mordialloc, Victoria, Mordialloc. The side is coached in the inaugural year by Peter Russo. In 1995 the club moved from Mordialloc to Dandenong, Victoria, Dandenong and it also changed its name to the Dandenong Southern Stingrays. The club is currently under the leadership of Darren Flanigan (Region Talent Manager) and Matthew Crozier (Female Talent Coordinator) with the home base located at Shepley Oval, Dandenong. The Essendon Football Club, nicknamed the Bombers, is a professional Australian rules football club. The club plays in the Australian Football League (AFL), the game's premier competition. The club was formed by the McCracken family in their Ascot Vale, Victoria, Ascot Vale home "Alisa", and while the exact date is unknown, it is generally accepted to have been in 1872. The club’s first recorded game took place on 7 June 1873 against a Carlton Second 20. The Essendon Football Club supplements saga was a sports controversy that occurred during the early- and mid- 2010s. It centred around the Essendon Football Club, nicknamed the Bombers, a professional Australian rules football club based in Melbourne and playing in the Australian Football League (AFL). The club was investigated starting in February 2013 by the Australian Sports Anti-Doping Authority (ASADA) and the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) over the legality of its supplements program during the 2012 AFL season and the preceding preseason.
