James Kilbane
James Kilbane (born 14 October 1970) is an Irish Christian country, gospel, and country and Irish singer. Kilbane was the runner up in the second series of RTÉ One's ''You're A Star'' in 2004. Career Kilbane finished second in the second series of RTÉ One's ''You're A Star'', a competition to select the Irish entrant for the 2004 Eurovision Song Contest. Kilbane ultimately lost out to Chris Doran in the final. Since 2004, Kilbane has released a number of albums on the Gold Eagle Music label including ''King of the Road'', ''Close to You, Hymns of Praise'', ''Divine Love'', ''Life's Miracle'', ''Heart to Heart'', ''Glory and Grace'', ''Mary: The Lord's Servant'', ''The Songs of Faith Collection'', ''The Family Collection'', ''Gravel & Grace'' and ''Songs of Ireland'', as well as a Christmas album titled ''The Christmas Collection.'' ''You're a Star'' is an Irish music competition series broadcast by RTÉ One from 2002 to 2008. Produced by the broadcaster and Screentime ShinAwiL, the series was similar to formats such as ''Idol'' and ''The X Factor''. For its first three series, ''You're a Star'' was used to choose the musician who would perform the Irish entry at the Eurovision Song Contest. In later series, the grand prize was changed to a recording contract with Universal Music Ireland (with the Irish selection now conducted via the Eurosong qualifier, whose finals are hosted by '' The Late Late Show''), and later music equipment and €50,000. The series was broadcast live from The Helix theatre in Dublin City University (DCU). The show was cancelled after the 2008 series and replaced a year later with ''The All Ireland Talent Show''. Central Middlesex Hospital
Central Middlesex Hospital is in the centre of the Park Royal business estate, on the border of two London boroughs, Brent and Ealing. It is managed by the London North West University Healthcare NHS Trust. History The hospital was established as an infirmary for sick paupers at the Willesden Workhouse in 1903. Extensions were built in 1908, 1911 and 1914. The facility became the Willesden Institution in 1914, the Park Royal Hospital in 1921 and the Central Middlesex County Hospital in 1931. The hospital was badly damaged by enemy bombing during the Second World War. After the hospital joined the National Health Service in 1948, major additions included a maternity unit opened in 1966 and Ambulatory Care and Diagnostic Centre for out-patients opened in 1999. Thirty-fourth Amendment Of The Constitution Of Ireland
The Thirty-fourth Amendment of the Constitution (Marriage Equality) Act 2015 (previously bill no. 5 of 2015) amended the Constitution of Ireland to permit marriage to be contracted by two persons without distinction as to their sex. Prior to the enactment, the Constitution was assumed to contain an implicit prohibition on same-sex marriage in the Republic of Ireland. It was approved at a referendum on 22 May 2015 by 62% of voters on a turnout of 61%. This was the first time that a state legalised same-sex marriage through a popular vote. Two legal challenges regarding the conduct of the referendum were dismissed on 30 July by the Court of Appeal, and the bill was signed into law by the President of Ireland on 29 August.
