James Keane (actor)
James Keane (born September 26, 1952) is an American film and television actor. He is known for playing the role of Willis Thomas Bell in the American drama television series '' The Paper Chase''. Life and career Keane was born in Buffalo, New York. He graduated from the American Academy of Dramatic Arts, and began his career in 1975, appearing in the film ''Three Days of the Condor'' playing a store clerk. Between acting jobs he was an elevator operator at the Sherry-Netherland hotel in New York, where he met film director, Francis Ford Coppola. Keane thought that he might get a role in ''The Godfather Part II'' until he realised that shooting was to be in Sicily. In 1978 Keane joined the cast of the new CBS drama television series '' The Paper Chase'' as the law student Willis Thomas Bell. James John Keane (August 26, 1857 – August 2, 1929) was an American prelate of the Roman Catholic Church. He served as bishop of the Diocese of Cheyenne in Wyoming from 1902 to 1911, and then as archbishop of the Archdiocese of Dubuque in Iowa from 1911 until his death in 1929. Biography Early life James Keane was born August 26, 1857, in Joliet, Illinois. When he was a young child, the family moved to Minnesota. He was educated at St. John's Seminary in Collegeville, Minnesota, St. Francis Xavier College in New York City and the Grand Séminaire de Montréal in Montreal, Quebec. Priesthood Keane was ordained a priest in Montreal by Archbishop Édouard-Charles Fabre on December 23, 1882, for the Archdiocese of Saint Paul. After his ordination, Keane was assigned as an assistant pastor in parishes within the archdiocese. He soon became a faculty member of the College of St. Thomas in St. Paul, Minnesota. James Keane ( ga, Séamus Ó Catháin; born 7 February 1948) is an Irish traditional musician and accordion player. The Italian Castagnari company issued and continues a line of signature instruments called ''keanebox'' in his honor. Early life James Keane was born in Drimnagh, south Dublin City in Co Dublin. He reportedly began playing at age six, and lilting since before he could talk. The Keane house in Dublin was a musical landmark on the traditional music scene in the 1950s and 1960s. Keane's mother and father were both fiddle players from musical communities in County Longford and County Clare, and would play host to the legendary players who traveled from all over Ireland to perform in the capital city. Jim Keane
James Patrick Keane (January 11, 1924 – March 8, 2011) was a professional American football end in the National Football League (NFL). He played seven seasons for the Chicago Bears (1946–1951) and the Green Bay Packers (1952). Keane, who was born in Bellaire, Ohio, remains the only player in Bears history to lead the team in receptions for four straight seasons, something he accomplished by catching a league-leading 64 passes in 1947, 30 in 1948, 47 in 1949 and 36 in 1950. When he left the Bears following the 1951 season, Keane was the franchise’s all-time leader with 206 receptions and ranked second behind Ken Kavanaugh with 3,031 receiving yards. Keane still holds the Bears record for most receptions in a game. He set the mark by catching 14 passes in a 35–28 road loss to the New York Giants on October 23, 1949. Jim Keane (born 1941) is an American politician who served as a Democratic member of the Montana House of Representatives for the 73rd district from 2017 to 2023.
