Alhaji Dahiru Mohammed Deba (born 1942) is a Nigerian politician who was elected Governor of Bauchi State, Nigeria between January 1992 and November 1993 during the Nigerian Third Republic, leaving office after the military coup that brought General Sani Abacha to power. Deba was born on 24 September 1942, in Deba, then in Bauchi State and now in Gombe State. He was given the traditional title of Wazirin Deba. Dahiru was elected governor in 1991 on the platform of the National Republican Convention (NRC). His achievements as governor included construction of hospitals, including the Alkaleri General Hospital and Primary Health Centres at Dambam, Zambuk, Bambam and Burra, and the foundation for the Gombe Referral Hospital. Rasheed Adisa Raji was Military Administrator of Bauchi State in Nigeria from 14 September 1994 to 22 August 1996 and then of Sokoto State from 22 August 1996 to August 1998 during the military regime of General Sani Abacha. Rasheed Adisa Raji was born in Abeokuta in Ogun State. As governor of Bauchi State, Raji's tenure was relatively uneventful. He enforced all government programs and policies, and supported traditional institutions. He initiated, built and commissioned the Legislative Quarters, often called the "Raji Quarters" today. Sani Abacha (20 September 1943 – 8 June 1998) was a Nigerian military officer and politician who ruled as the military head of state of Nigeria from 1993 until his death in 1998. He seized power on 17 November 1993 in the last successful coup d'etat in the military history of Nigeria. He was the Chief of Army Staff between 1985 to 1990; Chief of Defence Staff between 1990 to 1993; and Minister of Defence.
