James Hutchinson (musician)
James Hutchinson (born January 24, 1953) is an American session bassist best known for his work with Bonnie Raitt. Though his work takes him nearly everywhere he primarily resides in Studio City, Los Angeles, CA and Haiku-Pauwela, Hawaii. Career Hutchinson has worked on hundreds of recordings with artists as diverse as Willie Nelson, Joe Cocker, Ryan Adams, Bryan Adams, Jackson Browne, Ruth Brown, Charles Brown (musician), Charles Brown, Al Green, B.B. King, Earl King, The Neville Brothers, The Doobie Brothers, Ringo Starr, Ziggy Marley and many more. He attended some classes at Berklee College of Music in the late 1960s. He always had an affinity for music and practiced various instruments as a child. After seeing Wilson Pickett's band, at age 12, he focused on the bass. James Hutchinson (physician)
James Hutchinson (29 January 1752 – 6 September 1793) was an American Quaker physician. __TOC__ History Hutchinson was born in Bucks County, Pennsylvania to a Quakers, Quaker family, and began his medical studies as a young man, first through an apprenticeship to druggists and, in 1771, as a student to Cadwalader Evans. Hutchinson worked as an apothecary while earning his Bachelor's of Medicine degree from the College of Philadelphia. In 1775, he travelled to London and, urged by John Fothergill (physician), John Fothergill, studied surgery at St Bartholomew's Hospital, St. Bartholomew's Hospital. Upon his return to Philadelphia, Hutchinson worked as a surgeon, physician, and obstetrician at Pennsylvania Hospital and a professor of chemistry at the newly formed University of Pennsylvania. James Hutchinson VC (9 July 1895 – 22 January 1972) was an English recipient of the Victoria Cross, the highest and most prestigious award for gallantry in the face of the enemy that can be awarded to British and Commonwealth forces. James Metcalf Hutchinson (29 November 1896 – 7 November 2000) was an English first-class cricketer who played more than 250 matches for Derbyshire County Cricket Club between 1920 and 1931. Until September 2018, when John Manners took the record, Hutchinson's unique claim to fame was that, of all first-class cricketers around the world, he was the longest-lived whose age had been incontestably established. All but one of Hutchinson's 256 first-class matches were for Derbyshire. He was also selected for a Gentlemen v Players match at Blackpool in 1924, though neither team was of the strength usually sent out in the Lord's and Scarborough fixtures at this time, and the game was over in less than two days. James Arthur Hutchinson (28 December 1915 – 1997) was an English footballer who spent the 1940s with Sheffield United, Bournemouth & Boscombe Athletic, Lincoln City and Oldham Athletic. Career Hutchinson played for Aqueduct and Sheffield United before the outbreak of World War II, in which he guested for Bradford City, the Royal Navy, Lincoln City, Hull City and Port Vale. After the war he moved on to Harry Kinghorn's Bournemouth & Boscombe Athletic, scoring three goals in eight Third Division South games in 1946–47.
