James Edward, Baron Hanson (20 January 1922 – 1 November 2004) was an English Conservative industrialist who built his businesses through the process of leveraged buyouts through Hanson plc. Career Educated at Elland Grammar School near Halifax and at the short-lived Maiden Erlegh House School at Earley, formerly the home of Solly Joel, James Hanson served as a staff officer with 7th Battalion, the Duke of Wellington's Regiment before going into the family transport business. James Hanson (6 November 1904 – 14 January 1960) was an English football forward. Born in Manchester, he played for Bradford Parish Church in the Cheshire Amateur League early in his career. In December 1922, someone wrote in to the Manchester Football News, recommending Hanson to Manchester United. After trials in the 1923–24 season, he joined United in 1924. Hanson played his entire professional career with United. James Robert Hanson (born 9 November 1987) is an English professional footballer who plays as a striker for Worksop Town. He also coaches at the RIASA Academy. After playing youth football for Huddersfield Town and Bradford City, Hanson began his career in semi-professional non-league football, playing for Eccleshill United and Guiseley. He turned professional after re-signing with Bradford City in 2009, for whom he made over 300 appearances. James William Hanson (born 10 November 1995) is an English professional footballer who plays as a defender or midfielder. He plays for Ilkeston Town. Club career Derby County Hanson was a product of the Derby County academy with more than ten years at the club. He made his Football League debut for the Rams on 14 March 2015, starting against Norwich City in a 1–1 away draw at Carrow Road. In the 66th minute, with Derby 1–0 down, he swung in a corner kick and seemed to have scored the equalizing goal on his debut, but it was given as an own goal by Norwich goalkeeper John Ruddy, who fumbled it over the line. James Hanson (born 15 September 1988) is an Australian rugby union player for playing as a hooker. He recently played for English Premiership Rugby side Gloucester Early life Hanson was born in Brisbane. He played schoolboy rugby at Gregory Terrace and was selected for the Australian Schools team in 2005. Hanson played his first senior rugby with the University club and was selected for the Australia Under 19 rugby team in 2006 and 2007. Career Hanson played in the Australian Rugby Championship for the Melbourne Rebels in 2007. He signed a development contract with the Queensland Reds, and made his Super Rugby debut for the Reds in 2009. He played off the bench in Queensland's win over the Crusaders in the Super Rugby final of 2011, and went on to play seven seasons at the Reds.
