James Condon
James Thomas Condon (27 September 1923 – 14 February 2014) was an Australian actor of radio and stage, a scriptwriter and voice over, however best known for his numerous television roles in serials and television movies in Australia, particularly ''Number 96'' and ''Neighbours''. He was the husband of ''Neighbours'' actress Anne Haddy and the brother of theatre producer and actress Coralie Condon, who was a Medal of the Order of Australia recipient and known as the "First Lady of Western Australian Television". Coralie died on 31 December 2014, aged 90. Career James Thomas Condon was born in Fremantle, Western Australia. His career started in repertory theatre, before joining at ABC Radio in Perth in 1942; he would serve with the RAAF serving in the Air Force during World War II and eventuate to flight lieutenant. Bellamy (TV Series)
''Bellamy'' was an Australian television series made by the Reg Grundy Organisation for the Ten Network in 1981.Albert Moran, ''Moran's Guide to Australian TV Series'', AFTRS 1993 p 76 Synopsis The series focused on a maverick cop named Steve Bellamy ( John Stanton). His partner was Detective Mitchell (Tim Elston). Recurring characters in the series were the disapproving Daley (James Condon) who appeared in 21 episodes, the forensics technician Clem (Brian Young) who was in 15 of the episodes. Adam Garnett as Ginger, a street-wise child who befriended Bellamy, appeared in six early episodes but was phased-out of the series. Later in the run Tom Richards appeared as Detective Burns over five episodes. In the story Burns was ultimately revealed to be corrupt. TV Tonight is an Australian-based website which features reviews, news and programming information related to television in Australia as well as OzTAM ratings information. The site was started by television critic David Knox in 2007 after listeners of his radio programs asked him for information they had missed. Knox runs the site, publishing his interviews with Australian media actors, producers, directors and programmers. Knox regularly visits the sets of Australian television series and reviews television programs. Knox also served as television critic for Radio National's breakfast program from 2009 to 2015. Helen Daniels is a fictional character from the Australian soap opera ''Neighbours'', portrayed by Anne Haddy. Following the death of Jim Robinson (Alan Dale) in 1993, she remained the only original character played continuously by the same actor until her own death in 1997, making her the second longest-serving original character after her grandson Paul Robinson (Stefan Dennis). ''Something in the Air'' is an Australian television soap opera transmitted by the Australian Broadcasting Corporation between 2000 and 2002. It was one of the first programs in Australia that was filmed in widescreen. It won the AACTA Award for Best Television Drama Series in 2001. The series initially screened four episodes weekly, Monday to Thursday at 6:30 pm and received moderate success. Ratings began to drop after the show was moved to Saturday evenings in which it was cut down to two episodes shown in a one-hour block. It later resumed its usual weekly run, however, it was screened in a 6:00 pm timeslot which ultimately led to its cancellation. The series was repeated on the-then ABC2 from 11 February 2008.
