James Cameron (soccer)
James Cameron (born January 24, 2005) is a Canadian soccer player who plays for Vancouver FC in the Canadian Premier League. Early life Cameron played youth soccer with North Vancouver FC, Mountain United FC, and the Blaise Soccer Academy. He represented British Columbia at the 2022 Canada Summer Games, helping them to a fifth-place finish. Club career After having attended the club's open trials in February 2023, in May 2023, Cameron signed a developmental contract with Vancouver FC of the Canadian Premier League, while also playing with their League1 British Columbia affiliate Unity FC. Cameron made his professional debut for Vancouver on June 11, coming on as a substitute against Cavalry FC. He made his first start in the next match on June 17, against Atlético Ottawa. League1 British Columbia (L1BC) is a semi-professional men's and women's soccer league in British Columbia, Canada, which began play in May 2022. The league is sanctioned by the Canadian Soccer Association and the BC Soccer Association as a pro-am league in the Canadian soccer league system. The league is a member of League1 Canada. 2023 League1 British Columbia Season
The 2023 League1 British Columbia season was the second season of play for League1 British Columbia, a pro-am league in the Canadian soccer league system. Eight clubs participated in both the men's and women's divisions. Format The regular season was contested by eight clubs and ran from April 29 to July 23, 2023. Each team played 14 games in a double round-robin format with seven games at home and seven on the road. The top four teams advanced to the playoffs with the Championship Final held on the BC Day long weekend. The men's and women's divisions used identical schedules with the two matches being played as double-headers on the same day.
