James Cadell
James John Cadell, was a politician in Queensland, Australia. He was a Member of the Queensland Legislative Assembly for the electoral district of Burnett from 11 July 1891 - 28 March 1896. Early life ''James John Cadell'' was born 5 November 1843 in the Hunter River region, New South Wales, Australia. He was educated at Windsor, New South Wales by Judge Carey. James John Cadell married Elizabeth Hume Dight in Workworth, New South Wales in 1871 and together they had 2 sons and 8 daughters. Before his parliamentary career James John Cadell was a pastoralist at Kitikarara Station. He managed Peel River Station for father (1861–70). Mungar Junction To Monto Railway Line
The Mungar Junction to Monto railway line is a railway in Queensland, Australia. Progressively opened in eleven stages between 1889 and 1928 the line branched from the North Coast line at Mungar Junction a short distance west of Maryborough and followed a westerly route towards Biggenden and Gayndah before turning north via Mundubbera and Eidsvold to Monto. It is also known as the Gayndah Monto Branch Railway. History Whilst Bundaberg was chosen as the port for a rail line to Mount Perry, Maryborough was selected as the port for a line to the Central and Upper Burnett districts of Queensland, where minerals had been found. The ''Fraser Coast Chronicle'' is an online newspaper serving the Fraser Coast area in Queensland, Australia. It was started as the Maryborough Chronicle, Wide Bay and Burnett Advertiser. History Charles Hardie Buzacott first published the ''Maryborough Chronicle, Wide Bay and Burnett Advertiser'' in Maryborough as a four-page tabloid, in his slab hut in Lennox Street in November 1860. It sold for sixpence and was read from Gayndah in the west and Childers in the north to Gympie in the south. In 1863, Buzacott sold his interests to William Swain Roberts and Joseph Robinson, who set out to "reflect the community's wants and opinions while boldly and distinctly enunciating our own views". As the rough river town turned into a respectable city, its newspaper became a bi-weekly in 1864, a tri-weekly in 1868 and a daily in 1882.
