James Butler (Canadian Football)
James Jeremy Butler III (born February 19, 1995) is a professional Canadian football running back for the Hamilton Tiger-Cats of the Canadian Football League (CFL). College career Butler played college football for the Nevada Wolf Pack from 2014 to 2016. He then transferred to the University of Iowa for his senior year where he played for the Iowa Hawkeyes in 2017. Professional career Oakland Raiders While eligible for 2018 NFL Draft, Butler was not drafted and did not immediately sign with any National Football League (NFL) team. However, after attending mini-camp with the Oakland Raiders in May 2020, he signed with the team on July 30, 2018. XFL (2020)
The XFL is a professional American football minor league consisting of eight teams located across the United States in mid-sized to major markets served by at least one other major professional sports team. Seasons run from February to April, with each team playing a ten-game regular season, and four progressing to the playoffs to crown a season champion. It is headquartered in Arlington, Texas. The league was founded by former WWE executive Vince McMahon in 2018, as a reboot and successor to the league of the same name he founded in 2001. 2019 Saskatchewan Roughriders Season
The 2019 Saskatchewan Roughriders season was the 62nd season for the team in the Canadian Football League. It was the club's 110th year overall and its 104th season of play. The Roughriders qualified for the playoffs for the third consecutive year and hosted a playoff game for the second consecutive year. They finished 13–5 in the regular season (their best record since 1970) and finished first place in the West Division for only the second time since 1976 and the first time winning the West Division crown since 2009. Oakland Raider
The Oakland Raiders were a professional American football team that played in Oakland from its founding in 1960 to 1981 and again from 1995 to 2019 before relocating to the Las Vegas metropolitan area where they now play as the Las Vegas Raiders. Between 1982 and 1994, the team played in Los Angeles as the Los Angeles Raiders. The team's first home game was at Kezar Stadium in San Francisco, against the Houston Oilers on September 11, 1960, with a 37-22 loss. 2018 Oakland Raiders Season
The 2018 season was the Oakland Raiders' 49th in the National Football League, their 59th overall, their 24th since their return to Oakland, and their first under head coach Jon Gruden since his rehiring by the organization (fifth overall). The Raiders finished the season with a 4–12 record, failing to improve upon their previous season's record of 6–10, and their worst since 2014. With a loss to the Kansas City Chiefs in Week 13, the Raiders were eliminated from playoff contention for the second consecutive season. With their week 15 loss to the Bengals, the Raiders failed to improve their record from the previous season. The loss also secured their spot at last in the AFC West. The 2018 NFL Draft was the 83rd annual meeting of National Football League (NFL) franchises to select newly eligible players for the 2018 NFL season.
