James Brayshaw
James Antony Brayshaw (born 11 May 1967) is an Australian media personality and retired cricketer working in television for the Seven Network and radio for Triple M. For Seven Sport, he hosts and calls Test cricket during summer and Australian Football League on Friday nights during winter. Brayshaw worked for the Nine Network for 15 years, calling AFL, cricket and co-hosting ''The Footy Show'' with Garry Lyon. As a cricketer, he was known as Jamie Brayshaw. He is a former chairman of the North Melbourne Football Club, serving from 2008 to 2016. From 2011 to 2015, he was chairman of the Melbourne Renegades cricket team. In September 2022, Brayshaw was made a life member of the North Melbourne Football Club. Ian James Brayshaw (born 14 January 1942) is a former Australian sportsman. He played both Australian rules football and cricket. Both his sons, Mark Brayshaw and James Brayshaw, were noted athletes in their respective sports, and three of his grandsons have been members of AFL squads. Football career He played Australian rules football at a high level, winning a premiership with in the Western Australian Football League (WAFL), but is best known for his cricket career. Cricket career A right-handed all-rounder, Brayshaw played over 100 first-class games for Western Australia, and he captained the side on several occasions. The 1998 AFL Grand Final was an Australian rules football game contested between the Adelaide Crows and the North Melbourne Kangaroos, held at the Melbourne Cricket Ground in Melbourne on 26 September 1998. It was the 102nd annual grand final of the Australian Football League (formerly the Victorian Football League), staged to determine the premiers for the 1998 AFL season. Kangaroos FC
The North Melbourne Football Club, nicknamed the Kangaroos, is a professional Australian rules football club. The men's team competes in the Australian Football League (AFL), and the women's team in the AFL Women's (AFLW). The Kangaroos also field a reserves men's team in the Victorian Football League (VFL). Amanda Blair (born 1968) is an Australian radio broadcaster, a former columnist with the '' Sunday Mail'', and a former member of the Social Inclusion Board. Baggy Green
The baggy green is a cricket cap of dark myrtle green colour, which has been worn by Australian Test cricketers since around the turn of the twentieth century. The cap was not originally baggy as evidenced by photographs of early players. The cap has long been a symbol of national pride in Australia, and was described by the chief executive of the MCC as the "most famous cricket cap in the world". While respect for the baggy green cap has always been very high, it has grown in stature since the 1990s, chiefly due to the efforts of captains Mark Taylor and Steve Waugh. Ian Botham
Ian Terence Botham, Baron Botham, (born 24 November 1955) is an English cricket commentator, member of the House of Lords, a former cricketer who has been chairman of Durham County Cricket Club since 2017 and charity fundraiser. Hailed as one of the greatest all-rounders in the history of the game, Botham represented England in both Test and One-Day International cricket. He played most of his first-class cricket for Somerset, at other times competing for Worcestershire, Durham and Queensland. Allan Border
Allan Robert Border (born 27 July 1955) is an Australian cricket commentator and former international cricketer. A batsman, Border was for many years the captain of the Australian team. His playing nickname was "A.B.". He played 156 Test matches in his career, a record until it was passed by fellow Australian Steve Waugh. Border formerly held the world record for the number of consecutive Test appearances of 153, before it was surpassed in June 2018 by Alastair Cook, and is second on the list of number of Tests as captain. He was primarily a left hand batsman, but also had occasional success as a part-time left arm orthodox spinner.
