James Borland
James Allen Borland (born July 11, 1944) is an American evangelical professor of biblical studies and theology at Liberty University and former president of the Evangelical Theological Society. Biography Borland was born on July 11, 1944 in Santa Monica, California. He earned his B.A. (1966) from Los Angeles Baptist College, his M.Div (1969) from Los Angeles Baptist Theological Seminary, his Th.M. (1971) from Talbot Theological Seminary, and his Th.D. (1976) from Grace Theological Seminary. While he was in seminary, he served as pastor of Stonehurst Community Chapel in California. He taught for a year at Central Baptist Theological Seminary of Minneapolis, and for three years at Maranatha Baptist Bible College in Wisconsin, before joining the faculty of Liberty in 1977, where he still teaches full-time in 2014. Liberty University
Liberty University (LU) is a private Baptist university in Lynchburg, Virginia. It is affiliated with the Southern Baptist Conservatives of Virginia (Southern Baptist Convention). Founded in 1971 by Jerry Falwell Sr. and Elmer L. Towns, Liberty is among the world's largest Christian universities and the largest private non-profit universities in the United States by total student enrollment. The New King James Version (NKJV) is an English translation of the Bible. The complete NKJV Bible was published in 1982 by Thomas Nelson, now HarperCollins. The NKJV is described by Thomas Nelson as being "scrupulously faithful to the original, yet truly updated to enhance its clarity and readability." History The NKJV translation project was conceived by Arthur Farstad. It was inaugurated in 1975 with two meetings (Nashville and Chicago) of 130 biblical scholars, pastors, and theologians. The men who were invited prepared the guidelines for the NKJV. Liberty is the ability to do as one pleases, or a right or immunity enjoyed by prescription or by grant (i.e. privilege). It is a synonym for the word freedom. The Master's Seminary (TMS) is the graduate seminary division of The Master's University and Seminary and is located on the campus of Grace Community Church in Sun Valley, California. It is accredited by the WASC Senior College and University Commission (WSCUC). History The Master's Seminary was founded in the fall of 1986 under the leadership of John F. MacArthur. In the early 1990s, the seminary experienced substantial growth. In March 1998, the seminary completed construction of its own facility on the church campus. Edward Hindson (December 21, 1944 – July 2, 2022) was an American Christian evangelist and host of ''The King Is Coming'', a syndicated television broadcast shown across the United States. Hindson wrote more than twenty books that deal with Bible prophecy and the imminent return of Jesus. He was a professor of Old Testament studies and eschatology at Liberty University in Lynchburg, Virginia, and a frequent speaker on prophecy. Campbell County, Virginia
Campbell County is a United States county situated in the south central part of the Commonwealth of Virginia. Located in the Piedmont region of Virginia, Campbell borders the Blue Ridge Mountains. The county seat is Rustburg. Grounded on a tobacco cash crop economy, Campbell County was created in 1782 from part of Bedford County. The county was named in honor of General William Campbell, hero of the American Revolutionary War. Campbell County is part of the Lynchburg, VA Metropolitan Statistical Area.
