James A. Harrell III
James Andrew "Jim" Harrell III (born October 8, 1974 in Elkin, North Carolina) served three terms as a United States Democratic Party, Democratic member of the North Carolina General Assembly representing the state's ninetieth North Carolina House of Representatives, House district, including constituents in Alleghany County, North Carolina, Alleghany and Surry County, North Carolina, Surry counties. Harrell is originally from Elkin, North Carolina and later moved to Roaring Gap, North Carolina, Roaring Gap. As of 2011, Harrell is a lobbyist, running his own firm, James A. Harrell III and Associates, LLC, in Raleigh, North Carolina, Raleigh. Early life and education Harrell earned the Eagle Scout (Boy Scouts of America), Eagle Scout designation as a youth, like many members of his family.
