Jamar Dontarius Adams (born November 29, 1985) is a former American football Safety (American football position), safety. He was signed by the Seattle Seahawks as an undrafted free agent in 2008. He played college football at Michigan Wolverines football, Michigan. Adams has also played for the Philadelphia Eagles. Early years Adams attended David W. Butler High School, where he recorded 225 tackles, 23 interceptions, 3 sacks, 6 forced fumbles, 2 fumble recoveries, and 1 blocked field goal in his four-year career as a Safety (American football position), safety and cornerback. Safety is a position in gridiron football on the defense. The safeties are defensive backs who line up ten to fifteen yards from the line of scrimmage. There are two variations of the position: the free safety and the strong safety. Their duties depend on the defensive scheme.
