Lower Juba
Lower Juba ( so, Jubbada Hoose, Maay Maay, Maay: ''Jubithy Hoosy'', ar, جوبا السفلى, it, Basso Giuba) is an administrative region (''Administrative divisions of Somalia, gobol'') in southern Somalia. With its capital at Kismayo, it lies in the States and regions of Somalia, autonomous Jubaland region. It has green forests and wildlife including lions, giraffes, hippos, crocodiles, and hyenas. Lower Juba is bordered by Kenya, the Somali regions of Gedo, Middle Juba (Jubbada Dhexe), and the Somali Sea. Jamame
Jamame ( so, Jamaame, ar, جمامة, it, Giamama formerly ''Villaggio Regina Margherita''), also spelled Giamame, is a town in the southern Lower Juba (Jubbada Hoose) region of Somalia. There are many farms located near Jamame. The equator passes over the town. Overview Jamame is situated between the Somali Sea in the east, the agricultural land along the Jubba River in the west, and the port city of Kismayo in the south. It is the center of the Jamame District. Since 2014, the Al-Shabaab terror group has controlled Jamaame. In June 2018, American Special Forces and Al-Shabaab fighters engaged in a firefight near Jamame, which killed one American soldier. Bimaal
Overview The Biimaal or Bimal, is a sub-clan of the major Dir clan family. This clan is widely known for leading a resistance against the colonials in southern Somalia for decades which can be compared to the war of the Sayyid in Somaliland. The Biimaal mainly lives in Southern Somalia, the Somali region of Ethiopia, which their Gaadsen sub-clan mainly inhabits and in the NEP region of Kenya. Distribution The Bimal are the dominant clan in Merca district of Lower Shabelle region and make up the majority in Jammaame district of Lower Jubba region.
