Indoor athletics competition at the 2017 Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games was held from 18–20 September 2017, at the Indoor Athletics Arena. 25 medal events were contested over three days - 13 for men, 12 for women in the absence of a women's pole vault. Kazakhstan won most titles, with six golds, and were denied a seventh after winning the women's 4x400m relay by being disqualified for a lane violation. 2017 Asian Athletics Championships
The 2017 Asian Athletics Championships was the 22nd edition of the Asian Athletics Championships. It was held from 6 to 9 July 2017 at the Kalinga Stadium in Bhubaneswar, India. Bhubaneswar was the third Indian city to host Asian Championships. Around 560 athletes from 41 countries attended the event. The Championships were originally scheduled to be held at Ranchi, Jharkhand. After Ranchi's inability to host this event, Bhubaneswar was selected as the venue for this event. 2016 Asian Indoor Athletics Championships
The 2016 Asian Indoor Athletics Championships was the seventh edition of the international indoor athletics event between Asian nations. It took place at the Aspire Dome in Doha, Qatar, between 19 and 21 February. Three new women's Asian indoor records were set at the competition: in the pole vault by Li Ling, 51.67 seconds for the 400 metres by Kemi Adekoya, and 3:35.07 minutes for the 4 × 400 metres relay set by Bahrain.
