Jamaica competed at the 1994 Winter Olympics in Lillehammer, Norway. Six years after their famous first appearance at the Winter Olympics, the Jamaican four sled stunned many of their critics by finishing in 14th place, ahead of the United States, Russia, France and one sled from Italy. Jamaica Olympic Association
Jamaica Olympic Association (IOC code: JAM) is the National Olympic Committee representing Jamaica. It is also the body responsible for Jamaica's representation at the Olympic Games. History The Jamaica Olympic Association was founded in 1936 and recognised by the International Olympic Committee in the same year. Member federations The Jamaican National Federations are the organizations that coordinate all aspects of their individual sports. They are responsible for training, competition and development of their sports. There are currently 18 Olympic Summer and 2 Winter Sport Federations and 4 Non-Olympic Sport Federations in Jamaica. Chris Stokes (bobsledder)
Nelson Christian "Chris" Stokes has been an active member of the Jamaican Bobsleigh Team since its inception in Stokes was a successful track and field athlete, and after his associate degree from Bronx Community College, he was awarded an athletic scholarship to the University of Idaho in Moscow, Idaho. After finishing a bachelor's degree in finance ( cum laude) at the U of I, he went on to earn an MBA from nearby Washington State University in Pullman and a masters in Banking (with honors) from Georgetown University in Washington, D.C. Winston Alexander Watts (born 8 December 1967) is a member of the Jamaica national bobsleigh team. He has competed in four Olympics, most recently the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi. Watts has five children - Neecia Watts, Remonia Watts, Romain Watts, Shauna Kaye Watts, and Winston Watts Jr. Olympics Watts first appearance at the Winter Olympics came during the 1994 Games held in Lillehammer, Norway.
