Jamaar Taylor
Henry Jamaar Taylor (born February 25, 1981) is a former American football wide receiver for the New York Giants of the National Football League (NFL). The Giants selected Taylor in the sixth round of the 2004 NFL Draft out of Texas A&M. Jamaar was a promising prospect until he suffered a knee injury in college that drastically hurt his draft status. Some experts considered him a second round pick before his injury. During his rookie season, Jamaar had a 100-yard game against the Philadelphia Eagles where he played against fellow Mission High School alumni Koy Detmer who is now the head coach there. On the year he caught four passes for 146 yards. Jamaar spent most of his time in the NFL on the injured reserve list, but showed some promise during the preseason and during his 100-yard game against the Eagles. Punt (gridiron Football)
In gridiron football, a punt is a kick performed by dropping the ball from the hands and then kicking the ball before it hits the ground. The most common use of this tactic is to punt the ball downfield to the opposing team, usually on the final down, with the hope of giving the receiving team a field position that is more advantageous to the kicking team when possession changes. The result of a typical punt, barring any penalties or extraordinary circumstances, is a first down for the receiving team. High school football (french: football au lycée) is gridiron football played by high school teams in the United States and Canada. It ranks among the most popular interscholastic sports in both countries, but its popularity is declining, partly due to risk of injury, particularly concussions. Mission is a city in Hidalgo County, Texas, United States. Its population was 77,058 at the 2010 census and an estimated 84,331 in 2019. Mission is part of the McAllen–Edinburg–Mission and Reynosa–McAllen metropolitan areas. Geography Mission is in southern Hidalgo County. Mike Tice
Michael Peter Tice (born February 2, 1959) is a former American football tight end and coach. He played college football at the University of Maryland, College Park and spent 11 seasons playing in the National Football League (NFL) before spending 22 seasons as a coach, including four seasons as the Minnesota Vikings head coach. Playing career Tice attended the University of Maryland, College Park where he played quarterback. He played tight end in the National Football League from 1981 to 1995 with the Seattle Seahawks, Washington Redskins and Minnesota Vikings.
