Jakub Kot
Jakub Kot (born 19 January 1990) is a Polish ski jumper, and a member of the Polish youth ski jumping team. Personal life Kot was born in Limanowa, Poland, but raised in Zakopane. His father Rafał was a physiotherapist for the Polish ski jumping team. Jakub's younger brother Maciej (born 1991) is also a ski jumper. On 22 October 2016 in Zakopane, he married Joanna Pilch. On 17 March 2017 his wife gave birth to their first child, a daughter named Otylia. In September 2018 his second daughter was born. Career He is currently in the youth team of Poland. He debuted in the Continental Cup in the season 2007/2008. He competed at the World Junior Championships 2009 in Štrbské Pleso, where the individual was 20th and won a bronze medal in the normal hill with Polish team - Maciej Kot, Grzegorz Miętus and Andrzej Zapotoczny. Maciej Kot (Polish pronunciation: ; born 9 June 1991) is a Polish ski jumper. He is a member of the national team and competed at the Winter Olympics in 2014 and 2018. He is a 2017 World Champion and bronze medalist of 2013 World Championship in the team large hill event. Personal life Maciej Kot was born in Limanowa, Poland, but raised in Zakopane. His father Rafał was a physiotherapist for the Polish ski jumping team, now he is a ski jumping expert for Polish national television. Maciej's older brother Jakub (born 1990) is a ski jumper as well. Maciej Kot graduated the University School of Physical Education in Krakow with master's degree in physical education (MPhEd). Krzysztof Miętus (; born 8 March 1991) is a Polish ski jumper, who has competed since 2008. He is a member of Polish youth team and participated in the Winter Olympics in Vancouver 2010. Personal life Krzysztof Miętus was born in Zakopane, Poland, but he lives in Dzianisz, Poland. His younger brother, Grzegorz, is also a ski jumper. Career One of his major achievements was the third place in winter Polish Championship in Zakopane in 2007, and the silver medal in summer Polish Championships in 2011. FIS Ski Jumping Continental Cup
The FIS Ski Jumping Continental Cup is a series of ski jumping competitions arranged yearly by the International Ski Federation. It is considered the second level of international ski jumping, ranking below the World Cup and not counting Grand Prix which world top class summer competition. Athletes competing in the Continental Cup are usually juniors and jumpers fighting for a spot on their nation's World Cup team. Some jumpers alternate between the World Cup and the Continental Cup and therefore, the winner of the Continental Cup is not necessarily the best jumper.
