Jakop Janssønn Hauan
Jakop Filip Janssønn Hauan (born 11 July 1986 in Tromsø, Norway) is a Norwegian jazz musician (drums and electronics). Career Hauan is a graduate of the Norwegian Academy of Music in Oslo (2011), holding a Bachelor's degree in executive drums and jazz improvisation. He has toured and played a series of concerts in Norway, Europe and Africa within bands like 'Halles Komet', 'Johan Lindvall Trio', 'Zarathustra', 'Northern Arc', 'IAmSound', 'Papirfly' ( Hanne Kalleberg Kvartett) and has participated in the competitions Jazzintro within the bands Cinnamon Re:source and 'Hanne Kalleberg Kvartett' and gained second place in ”nõmme jazz international youth competition, Jazz artist 2010”. Hauan collaborates within the duo AvantGong including Jørn Øien, where they want to create forms, melodies and coherence using synths, drums, electronics with free music and world music as a starting point. NorCD
NorCD (established 1991 in Oslo, Norway) is a Norwegian record label for folk, jazz, world music and improvisational music, led by the founder saxophonist and composer Karl Seglem. NorCD is distributed through Musikkoperatørene, and is a member of FONO. Biography In 1991 Karl Seglem decided to create a new free record label to distribute his music. The company soon enlisted a number of Norwegian performers in different genres. A derivation of the company was the label SOFA, which focused on the European improv, led by Ingar Zach and Ivar Grydeland. The NorCD catalog features 110 CD-titles (spring 2012) with many of the foremost Norwegian jazz and folk musicians. ''Dagsavisen'' is a daily newspaper published in Oslo, Norway. The former party organ of the Norwegian Labour Party, the ties loosened over time from 1975 to 1999. It has borne several names, and was called ''Arbeiderbladet'' from 1923 to 1997. Eirik Hoff Lysholm is editor-in-chief. The newspaper depends on economic support from the Norwegian Government. History ''Dagsavisen'' was established by Christian Holtermann Knudsen in 1884 under the name ''Vort Arbeide'' ('Our Work' in archaic Riksmål), and was affiliated with the trade union center ''Fagforeningernes Centralkomité''. __NOTOC__ Curling Legs Productions A/S (established 1992 in Oslo, Norway) is a Norwegian record label with a catalogue encompassing all styles of jazz and improvised music. It was started by Knut Værnes and Morten Halle to release their own music. In 1994, Odin Records was licensed to Curling Legs from the Norwegian Jazz Forum, to continue the production of Norwegian jazz. In addition to Værnes and Halle, the third co-owner of Curling Legs is Helge Westbye, the director of the record label Grappa Music, and the label is part of FONO. The music is distributed through the company Musikkoperatørene. By the time of their fiftieth issue, on 3 May 1999, Curling Legs had won Spellemannprisen four times.
