Jake Neighbours
Jake Neighbours (born March 29, 2002) is a Canadian professional ice hockey left winger for the St. Louis Blues of the National Hockey League (NHL). He was drafted by the Blues in the first round of the 2020 NHL Entry Draft with the 26th overall pick. Early life Neighbours was born on March 29, 2002, in Airdrie, Alberta, Canada. When praised for his maturity, he cites the wide age gap between his half and step-siblings as the reason. In an interview, he said "once you get to the age of 10 or 11 and your brothers are 14 years older than you, your brothers don't want to hang out with you anymore if you're going to be an annoying kid. So I've learned from a young age to be mature and relaxed so my brothers would want me around." Edmonton Oil Kings
The Edmonton Oil Kings are a major junior ice hockey team based in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, that play in the Western Hockey League. As of July 2008, they are owned by Daryl Katz's Oilers Entertainment Group, which also owns the Edmonton Oilers. The 2007–08 season was the newest incarnation of the Oil Kings' inaugural season in the Western Hockey League. Some NHL alumni include Tomas Vincour, Mark Pysyk, Curtis Lazar, Keegan Lowe, Griffin Reinhart, Henrik Samuelsson, Laurent Brossoit, Tristan Jarry and David Musil. A two-way contract is a professional sports contract that stipulates that an athlete's salary is dependent upon the league in which the athlete is assigned to play. Canada Men's National Junior Ice Hockey Team
The Canadian men's national under-20 ice hockey team is the ice hockey team representing Canada internationally in under-20 competition. Their primary participation in this age group comes at the International Ice Hockey Federation's World Junior Championship, held annually every December and January. The Prince Albert Raiders are a major junior ice hockey team in the Western Hockey League. The Raiders play in the East Division of the Eastern Conference. They are based in the city of Prince Albert, Saskatchewan, Canada. The team plays its home games at the Art Hauser Centre. Kaiden Guhle ( ; born January 18, 2002) is a Canadian ice hockey defenceman currently playing for the Montreal Canadiens of the National Hockey League (NHL). He was drafted 16th overall by the Canadiens in the 2020 NHL Entry Draft. Early life Guhle was born on January 18, 2002, in Sherwood Park, Alberta, Canada to parents Carrianne and Mark. Sebastian Cossa (born November 21, 2002) is a Canadian professional ice hockey goaltender for the Toledo Walleye of the ECHL as a prospect for the Detroit Red Wings of the National Hockey League (NHL). 2023 Men's Ice Hockey World Championships
The 2023 Men's Ice Hockey World Championships were the 86th such event hosted by the International Ice Hockey Federation. Teams participated in several levels of competition. The Ice Hockey World Championships are an annual international men's ice hockey tournament organized by the International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF). 2021–22 WHL Season
The 2021–22 WHL season is the 56th season of the Western Hockey League (WHL). The league plans on playing a full 68-game regular season having begun on October 1, 2021, and scheduled to end on April 17, 2022. The WHL announced that no interconference games will be played during the regular season. On August 16, 2021, the WHL announced a mandatory COVID-19 vaccination policy for all players, hockey operations staff, officials, and all other employees who regularly interact with players. On September 8, 2021, the WHL announced that due to COVID-19 border restrictions, the schedule had been re-aligned so that the B.C. Division and U.S. Division will not play interdivision games until at least November 2021. Cal Petersen
Calvin Louis Petersen (born October 19, 1994) is an American professional ice hockey goaltender for the Ontario Reign of the American Hockey League (AHL) while under contract to the Los Angeles Kings of the National Hockey League (NHL). He was selected in the fifth round, 129th overall by the Buffalo Sabres in the 2013 NHL Entry Draft. On July 1, 2017, he signed a two-year entry-level contract with the Kings as an unrestricted free agent. Prior to turning professional, Petersen played NCAA hockey for the University of Notre Dame.
