Jake Morris (soccer)
Jake Francis Morris (born March 3, 1999) is an American soccer player who plays for Louisville City in the USL Championship. Career Morris began his youth career with Weston FC in Florida before joining the Seattle Sounders FC academy in 2016. On August 20, 2016, Morris made his debut for USL club Seattle Sounders FC 2 in a 0–2 defeat to San Antonio FC. In January 2022 the Columbus Crew announced they had acquired Morris' rights from Seattle, and signed him to a contract through 2023 with options for 2024 and 2025. Morris would spend the bulk of the 2022 season with Columbus Crew 2 in MLS Next Pro, making his debut on April 3 against Chicago Fire FC II. He made his debut for the first team on April 19 in a U.S. Open Cup match against Detroit City. After seeing zero MLS season minutes in 2023, Morris was loaned to USL Championship side Loudoun United FC on June 27th. MLS Next Pro is a men's professional soccer league in the United States and Canada that is affiliated with Major League Soccer. It launched in 2022 with 21 teams and will expand to 28 in 2023. 2022 MLS Next Pro Season
The 2022 MLS Next Pro season is the inaugural season of MLS Next Pro, the reserve league of Major League Soccer. It is the first season since 2014 where MLS had a standalone reserve league, the previous season being the MLS Reserve League. Including both MLS Next Pro and the MLS Reserve League, it is the ninth season of a reserve league operated by MLS. The league is sanctioned as a third division league by U.S. Soccer. A total of 21 clubs, 20 MLS reserve teams and one independent team (Rochester New York FC) participate in the 2022 season. Aidan Zen Patrick Morris (born November 16, 2001) is an American professional soccer player who plays as a midfielder for Major League Soccer club Columbus Crew and the United States national team. Youth career Originally from Florida, Morris played academy soccer for Weston FC, and was recruited to the Columbus Crew Academy, where he played from 2017 to 2019. He attended Indiana University in 2019, where he scored his first collegiate goal on October 1 against Northwestern.
