Jake Lucchini
Jacob Leo Lucchini (born May 9, 1995) is a Canadian professional ice hockey player currently playing for the Iowa Wild in the American Hockey League (AHL) while under contract to the Minnesota Wild of the National Hockey League (NHL). He previously played with the Ottawa Senators of the NHL. Playing career Lucchini played junior hockey for the Trail Smoke Eaters of the British Columbia Hockey League (BCHL) After junior, he played college hockey for Michigan Tech Huskies for four seasons. Lucchini was a member of two WCHA championship teams and co-captained the Huskies in his senior year. Phil Varone (ice Hockey)
Philip Varone (born December 4, 1990) is a Canadian professional ice hockey forward who is currently playing with HC Spartak Moscow in the Kontinental Hockey League (KHL). Varone was selected by the San Jose Sharks in the fifth round (147th overall) of the 2009 NHL Entry Draft. Playing career Amateur Varone played major junior hockey in the Ontario Hockey League (OHL) from 2006–07 to 2010–11, collecting 78 goals and 152 assists for 230 points in 228 games. Professional Varone attended the San Jose Sharks training camp in 2010, but was sent down to London for the season. By July 2011, the Sharks had not signed Varone to a contract, making him a free agent. Varone attended the Buffalo Sabres training camp in 2011, but did not make the team. IIHF World Championship
The International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF; french: Fédération internationale de hockey sur glace; german: Internationale Eishockey-Föderation) is a worldwide Sport governing body, governing body for ice hockey. Leo Oswald Lucchini (August 12, 1927 – August 4, 1991) was a Canadian ice hockey player with the Edmonton Mercurys. He won a gold medal at the 1950 World Ice Hockey Championships in London, England. Waivers is a National Hockey League (NHL) labor management procedure by which an NHL team makes a professional ice hockey player's contract and rights available to all other NHL teams. Other NHL teams "waive" any claim to a player designated for assignment in the American Hockey League (AHL) or designated for release. Buffalo Sabres
The Buffalo Sabres are a professional ice hockey team based in Buffalo, New York. The Sabres compete in the National Hockey League (NHL) as a member of the Atlantic Division in the Eastern Conference.
