Jake Doran (cricketer)
Jake Richard Doran (born 2 December 1996) is an Australian cricketer who plays for Tasmania. He previously represented Sydney Thunder and Hobart Hurricanes. He is the youngest player to be signed to a Big Bash League contract. Doran is the younger brother of cricketer Luke Doran and attended The Hills Sports High School. Domestic career In 2013, Doran almost became the youngest player to score a First Grade century; playing for Fairfield-Liverpool against Sydney University, he was on 87 * when his team declared. Aged 16, Doran became the youngest player ever to play for New South Wales second XI. Blacktown
Blacktown is a suburb in the City of Blacktown, in Greater Western Sydney, in the state of New South Wales, Australia. Blacktown is located west of the Sydney central business district. The New South Wales men's cricket team (formerly named NSW Blues) are an Australian men's professional first class cricket team based in Sydney, New South Wales. 2017–18 Sheffield Shield Season
The 2017–18 Sheffield Shield season was the 116th season of the Sheffield Shield, the domestic first-class cricket competition in Australia. It started on 26 October 2017 and finished on 27 March 2018. The opening round of matches were played as day/night fixtures and the first three rounds of matches took place before the Ashes series. Victoria were the defending champions. In round two of the competition, Mitchell Starc became the first bowler to take a hat-trick in each innings of a first-class cricket match in Australia. He became the second Australian, and the eighth bowler overall, to do so in a first-class match. The South Australia cricket team, officially named the West End Redbacks, is an Australian men's professional first-class cricket team based in Adelaide, South Australia. The One-Day Cup, known as the Marsh One-Day Cup for Naming rights, sponsorship reasons, is an Australian domestic List A cricket, List A 50-over limited-overs cricket tournament.
