Jake Connor (born 18 October 1994) is an English professional rugby league footballer who plays as a or for the Huddersfield Giants in the Super League, and and at international level. He has also played as a and in his career. He started his career at Huddersfield Giants after coming through their Academy, spending time on loan at Batley in the Championship and Oldham in League 1. He signed for Hull F.C. in 2017 and returned to Huddersfield for the 2023 season. Background Connor was born in Halifax, West Yorkshire, England. His paternal grandfather is from Trinidad. Halifax () is a minster and market town in the Metropolitan Borough of Calderdale in West Yorkshire, England. The 2019 Rugby League World Cup 9s was the first staging of the Rugby League World Cup 9s tournament and took place on 18 and 19 October 2019 at Sydney's Bankwest Stadium. The tournament featured teams from 12 International Rugby League member countries, 4 of which also fielded teams in the women's tournament. In the men's final, Australia defeated New Zealand, while in the women's final, New Zealand defeated Australia. The France national rugby league team represent France in international rugby league matches. They are referred to as ''les Chanticleers'' or less commonly as ''les Tricolores''. The team is run under the auspices of the Fédération Française de Rugby à XIII. The French rugby league team first played in 1934 on a tour of England. They have taken part in all World Cups, 16 in total, with the first being held in 1954 in France. They have never won the title but finished runners-up in both 1954 and 1968. The team, largely formed from the Great Britain team which also represented Wales and Scotland, is run under the auspices of the Rugby Football League. It participates in the Rugby League World Cup, Four Nations and Test matches. The team dates to 1904, when they played against a mixture of Welsh and Scottish players in Wigan.
