Jake Campos
Jake Campos (born October 18, 1994) is a former American football offensive tackle. He was a member of the Dallas Cowboys of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football at Iowa State University. Early years Campos attended Valley High School, where he played football, basketball, baseball and track. He contributed to the school winning the Iowa prep Class 4A state championship. He placed third at the state track meet in the shot put as a junior. He received All-Conference honors both his junior and senior seasons. He received All-state honors as a senior. He earned academic honors all four years. College career Campos accepted a football scholarship from Iowa State University. As a redshirt freshman, he started three games at right tackle and the final eight contests at left tackle. Right Tackle
Tackle is a playing position in gridiron football. Historically, in the one-platoon system prevalent in the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries, a tackle played on both offense and defense. In the modern system of specialized units, offensive tackle and defensive tackle are separate positions, and the stand-alone term "tackle" refers to the offensive tackle position only. The offensive tackle (OT, T) is a position on the offensive line, left and right. Like other offensive linemen, their job is to block: to physically keep defenders away from the offensive player who has the football and enable him to advance the football and eventually score a touchdown. 2020 XFL Draft
The 2020 XFL Draft was the inaugural player selection process to fill the rosters of the eight teams of the 2020 reboot of the XFL. The draft was held on October 15–16, 2019, via conference call, with results released through the XFL's social media channels. Structure The XFL player allocation process was held in multiple phases, separated by position groups. In sports, the practice squad, also called the taxi squad or practice roster, is a group of players signed by a team but not part of their main roster. Frequently used in gridiron football, they serve as extra players during the team's practices, often as part of the scout team by emulating an upcoming opponent's play style.
