Jake Andrews (guitarist)
Jake Andrews (born April 16, 1980) is an American blues rock guitarist, singer and songwriter from Austin, Texas, United States. Life and career Andrews began playing guitar at age five, taught by his father, John Andrews of the 1960s band, Mother Earth. At an early age, he began attending shows at the blues venue, Antone's, to see blues musicians such as B. B. King and Albert Collins perform. At age eight, Andrews first went onstage to play guitar with Albert King. Impressed with the young guitarist, King invited him to play with him for his entire second set. That moment sparked Andrews' young career, and he continued to hone his skills in the clubs of Austin, Texas, regularly performing with local musicians such as Jimmie Vaughan. Andrews has performed with B. B. King, Buddy Guy, and Albert King. He has also performed at music festivals such as the San Francisco Blues Festival and Madison Blues Festival with Ray Charles. 78 Saab were a rock band from Australia that consisted of Ben Nash (vocals and guitar), Jake Andrews (guitar and vocals), Garth Tregillgas (bass and vocals) and Nicholai Danko (drums and percussion). The band has stated that it was influenced by acts such as the Rolling Stones, R.E.M. and The Church. After forming in Canberra, Australia, during the summer of 1995–6, they relocated to Sydney in February 1997. Origins 78 Saab formed at the Australian National University, with the original members being Nash, Tregillgas, Darren Smith and Christovac Thompson. For the purpose of attaining live performance experience, they entered the Australian National Campus Band Competition in 1996, with the band name chosen spontaneously in order to complete the entry form. WYBL (98.3 FM) is a radio station broadcasting a country music format. Licensed to Ashtabula, Ohio, United States. The studios are located in Ashtabula while its transmitter is located near Benetka Rd and Plymouth Ridge Rd south of I-90. It is one of five stations in Media One Radio Group's Ashtabula cluster, the others being WFUN (AM), WFXJ-FM, WQGR (FM), WREO-FM, and WZOO-FM. History WYBL signed on in August 2005. The 98.3 FM frequency had belonged to then-owner Clear Channel Communications (now known as iHeartMedia) for a number of years. 98.3 FM and sister station 107.5 FM were purchased at auction at the same time. 107.5 FM was focused on and developed first as a Classic Rock station. 98.3 FM "The Bull" came years later.
