Jakarta City Hall ( id, Balai Kota DKI Jakarta) is the seat of the Jakarta City government. Basuki Tjahaja Purnama (, Pha̍k-fa-sṳ: ''Chûng Van-ho̍k''; born 29 June 1966) is an Indonesian businessman, politician, and former governor of Jakarta. Suwiryo ( EVO: Soewirjo; 17 February 1903 – 27 August 1967) was an Indonesian politician. He served as the first Mayor of Jakarta following the proclamation of Indonesian independence from 1945 until 1947 and again from 1950 until 1951. Additionally, he served as Deputy Prime Minister of Indonesia under Prime Minister Soekiman Wirjosandjojo from 1951 until 1952. A member of the Indonesian National Party, he was also the party's sixth chairman, serving from 1956 until his ousting by Ali Sastroamidjojo in 1960. Taman Suropati or Suropati Park is a public park located in Menteng, Jakarta, Indonesia. The park is located in the center of Menteng and is the meeting point of three streets: Teuku Umar Street, Diponegoro Street, and Imam Bonjol Street. History The park is now an iconic landmark of Jakarta, was hill-shaped area. It was built by FJ Kubatz and FJL Gijshels under the direction of PAJ van Moojen, a Dutch architect. The then-mayor of Batavia, GJ Bisschop, who was in office from 1916 to 1920, built the park, which was then named Bisschopplein. The park was officially inaugurated in 1919.
