Club Deportivo Marquense, or simply Marquense, is a Guatemalan football club based in San Marcos, Department of San Marcos, and who compete in the Primera División, the nation's second footballing division, since 2000. Their home venue is at the ''Estadio Marquesa de la Ensenada''. Their home stadium was Estadio Julio Armando Cobar, which has been converted to artificial turf due to the heavy rains that frequently hit the region. Club Social y Deportivo Juventud Retalteca was a Guatemalan professional football club based in Retalhuleu and who competed in the '' Liga Nacional'', the nation's top footballing division. History Nicknamed ''Los Algodoneros'' (the Cotton pickers), the club was founded on 6 May 1951 by José Maria Olivar and Guillermo Gordillo. The Guatemala national football team ( es, Selección de fútbol de Guatemala) represents Guatemala in men's international football and is controlled by the ''Federación Nacional de Fútbol de Guatemala''. Founded in 1919, it has been affiliated to FIFA since 1946, and it is a member of CONCACAF. The team has made three Olympic tournament appearances, competing at the 1968, 1976, and 1988 Olympic Games.
