Jair Gonçalves Prates (born 11 June 1953 in Porto Alegre, Rio Grande do Sul), known as just Jair, is a Brazilian former Association football, footballer who played as an attacking midfielder. Jair made 137 Campeonato Brasileiro Série A, Campeonato Brasileiro appearances for Sport Club Internacional, Internacional. Biography Son of footballer also Laerte Prates (known as Laertes III), Jair was born in Porto Alegre, but raised in Governador Island in Rio de Janeiro.
