Jaime Penedo
Jaime Manuel Penedo Cano (born 26 September 1981) is a Panamanian former professional footballer who played as a goalkeeper for various teams such as: Osasuna B, CSD Municipal, LA Galaxy, Deportivo Saprissa and Dinamo București, among others, but also for the Panama national team, being the goalkeeper of the first squad of Panama that ever played in a World Cup. Penedo announced his retirement on 24 January 2019. Club career Penedo began his career with Estudiantes de Panamá F.C. and made his first team debut in 2000. He also played in Panamá for Plaza Amador and Árabe Unido. In his first season with Árabe Unido, Penedo helped the club to the apertura and clausura titles. In summer 2005 he joined Italian club Cagliari but did not make any first team appearances. The following season, he moved to Spain to play for Osasuna B in Segunda División B. Panama National Football Team
The Panama national football team ( es, Selección de fútbol de Panamá) represents Panama in men's international football and is governed by the Panamanian Football Federation. The team represents all three FIFA, CONCACAF and the regional UNCAF. Panama qualified for the FIFA World Cup for the first time for the 2018 tournament in Russia and scored their first goal of the World Cup against England, although they lost the match 6–1. They finished bottom of their group. Panama finished as runners-up in the 2005 Gold Cup and 2013 Gold Cup, losing to the United States on both occasions. 2015 CONCACAF Gold Cup
The 2015 CONCACAF Gold Cup was the 13th edition of the CONCACAF Gold Cup competition and the 23rd CONCACAF regional championship overall in the organization's fifty-four years of existence. It was held in the United States, with two matches being played in Canada, marking the first time the CONCACAF Gold Cup was played in that country. Mexico won the competition after surviving both the quarter-finals and semi-finals in controversial circumstances, defeating Jamaica – the first Caribbean nation to reach such a stage – in the final. The Cupa Ligii ( en, League Cup) was Romania's secondary club football tournament. Like the Cupa României, it was played on a knockout (single elimination) basis. History It is unclear when the competition was first created, as there are no official recordings. It probably started sometime after 1990, but there may already have been an edition as early as 1978. Cupa Ligii was meant to shorten the break between the end of the league season and the start of a major international competition. The 2014 Major League Soccer season was the 102nd season of FIFA-sanctioned soccer in the United States and Canada, the 36th with a national first-division league, and the 19th season of Major League Soccer. The FIFA World Cup qualification is a competitive match that a national association football team takes in order to qualify for one of the available berths at the final tournament of the (men's) FIFA World Cup. Cuba National Football Team
The Cuba national football team ( es, Selección de fútbol de Cuba) represents Cuba in men's international football and it is controlled by the Football Association of Cuba. Nicknamed Leones del Caribe (''Lions of Caribbean''), the team represents all three FIFA, Caribbean Football Union and Confederation of North, Central American and Caribbean Association Football (CONCACAF). Francisco Alejandro Bautista Portillo (born 25 January 1981) is a Panamanian footballer, who currently plays for Atlético Nacional. Club career He started his career at Sporting 89 and played for various local sides before embarking on a career abroad, playing several years in Salvadoran football. He joined Once Municipal in February 2007 and in January 2008 moved to ambitious capital club San Salvador, only to leave them for Alianza in July 2008. The International Champions Cup (ICC) was an annual club association football exhibition competition. In 2020, it was abolished due to COVID-19 pandemic. Format The format has changed in each competition. Subsequent tournaments have had different numbers of teams in the three locations.
