Jaime Jiménez
Jaime Jiménez Merlo (born 10 December 1980) is a Spanish former professional footballer who played as a goalkeeper. Club career Born in Valdepeñas, Province of Ciudad Real, Castile-La Mancha, Jiménez played lower league football until the age of nearly 25, representing mainly AD Ceuta in the Segunda División B. In the summer of 2005 he joined Ciudad de Murcia from Segunda División, making his league debut on 13 November in a 0–2 home loss against Real Valladolid; the club was renamed Granada 74 CF for the 2007–08 season. In 2008, Jiménez signed with second-tier Elche CF. He played understudy to Willy Caballero during most of his spell in the Valencian Community, his best year being 2010–11 when he played 19 games. He added four appearances in that campaign's unsuccessful promotion playoffs, as the Argentine had already left for Málaga CF in the winter transfer window. Valdepeñas
Valdepeñas is a municipality in the province of Ciudad Real, in the autonomous community of Castile-La Mancha, Spain. Segunda División B ( en, Second Division B) was the third tier of the Spanish football league system containing 102 teams divided into five groups, until it was replaced by the new structure in 2021. It was administered by the Royal Spanish Football Federation. A transfer window is the period during the year in which a football club can transfer players from other playing staff into their playing staff. Such a transfer is completed by registering the player into the new club through FIFA. 2011 Segunda División Play-offs
The 2011 Segunda División play-offs took place in June 2011. This was ''Segunda'''s first season with purely promotion play-offs since 1986–87 and the first time playoffs had been used for movement between the first and second tier since 1998–99. This new promotion phase (known as ) was introduced to determine the third team which promoted to 2011–12 La Liga. Teams placed between 3rd and 6th position, excluding reserve teams, took part in the promotion play-offs. Fifth placed faced against the fourth, while the sixth positioned team faced against the third. In case of a tied eliminatory there were extra time, once finished it, penalty shoot-out determined the winner. The 2010–11 Segunda División season (known as the Liga Adelante for sponsorship reasons) was the 80th since its establishment. The first matches of the season were played on 27 August 2010, the regular league ended on 4 June 2011, and the season ended with the promotion play-off finals on 18 June 2011. Wilfredo Daniel Caballero Lazcano (born 28 September 1981) is an Argentine professional footballer who plays as a goalkeeper for club Southampton. He spent most of his career in Spain, representing Elche and Málaga and competing in La Liga with the latter club.
