''Jail'' is a 2021 Indian Tamil-language action crime film written and directed by Vasanthabalan. The film is produced by Sridharan Mariathasan under the production banner of Krikes Cine Creations. The film stars G. V. Prakash Kumar, with debutant Abarnathi, Radhika Sarathkumar,. G. V. Prakash Kumar has composed music for the film. The film is edited by Raymond Derrick Crasta. The film was released on 9 December 2021 and received negative reviews from critics but praising GV Prakash's performance and message. Plot Cast Production It was announced that G. V. Prakash would act under the direction of Vasanthabalan. Prakash started his career as composer with Vasanthabalan's film ''Veyil'' (2006). Abarnathi, who rose to fame with the reality series ''Enga Veetu Mapillai'', is making her cinematic debut as actress with this film. Soundtrack The soundtrack was composed by GV Prakash. Vasanthabalan
Vasanthabalan (sometimes credited as Vasantha Balan) is an Indian Tamil film director and screenwriter, known for his Tragedy Films in Tamil Cinema. He has made critically acclaimed films including ''Veyil'' (2006), ''Angadi Theru'' (2010) and '' Kaaviya Thalaivan'' (2014). Career Vasanthabalan began his film career as an editing assistant and later became an assistant director to S.Shankar in the latter's directorial debut, ''Gentleman'' (1993). He continued to work under Shankar in three more films'' Kaadhalan'' (1994), ''Indian'' (1996) and ''Jeans'' (1998)and first attempted to make a film titled ''Aathi'' with Rajasekar in the lead role, but the project was stalled. Arivu
Arivarasu Kalainesan, more commonly known as Arivu, is an Indian rapper, lyricist, and playback singer who works in Tamil language films. He is best known for the song "Vaathi Raid" from ''Master'' (2021) and for his single "Enjoy Enjaami". Early life Arivu was brought up in Arakkonam, a town 60 kilometres west of Chennai. He was exposed to many folk songs as he grew up in family without TV and radio, as his parents wanted him to concentrate on school. Snehan (born Sivaselvam) is a Tamil poet, politician, lyricist, and actor who has worked in the Tamil film industry.
