Jaihind (1994 Film)
''Jaihind'' () is a 1994 Tamil language war action film written and directed by Arjun. The film stars him and Ranjitha. The film had musical score by Vidyasagar and was released on 20 May 1994 and was a blockbuster at the box office. A spiritual successor titled ''Jaihind 2'', also starring Arjun, was released in 2014. Plot Bharath ( Arjun), a police officer, is in love with Priya (Ranjitha), a policewoman. A terrorist group attacks the state of Tamil Nadu and kills the current Chief Minister (Kalyan Kumar) and Sriram, Bharath's brother ( Devan). Bharath decides to go with some prisoners and his lover in the island where the terrorist group is hidden. This is a secret and dangerous mission. Whether he will be able to prevent their attacks or become a victim himself forms the crux of the story. Arjun Sarja
Srinivasa "Arjun" Sarja is an Indian actor, producer, and director who works predominantly in the Tamil film industry, in addition to Kannada and Telugu languages as well. Chandrasekhar (born 3 May 1956), also known as Vagai Chandrasekhar, is an Indian stage, film and television actor working in Tamil language films, known for his histrionics. The ''New Straits Times'' is an English-language newspaper published in Malaysia. Vairamuthu Ramasamy (born 13 July 1953) is an Indian lyricist, poet, and novelist working in the Tamil film industry. He is a prominent figure in the Tamil literary world.
