Jahar Ganguly
Jahar Ganguly (October 1904 – 1969) was an Indian actor and theater personality. He received Best actor award in 6th Annual Bengal Film Journalists' Association Awards in 1943 for his performance in ''Bandi''. Career Ganguly was born in undivided 24 Parganas Dist, British India. He worked in number of Bengali and Hindi films in 40s and 50s as a supporting actor in comedy counterparts to the dramatic lead. He got break through in Dena Paona directed by Premankur Atorthy. Ganguly acted under Satyajit Ray's direction in Parash Pathar and Chiriyakhana. He also performed as stage actor until the 1960. Bengal Film Journalists' Association Awards
Bengal Film Journalists' Association Awards commonly referred as BFJA Awards, is given by The Bengal Film Journalists' Association. The BFJA is the oldest association of film critics in India, founded in 1937 to serve the developing film journalism and film industry. Overview Members of the association are drawn from the film section of the entire press of West Bengal composed of dailies, periodicals and film journals in various languages published from Kolkata. Film correspondents and critics working for any newspaper or periodicals published outside Bengal having their base in Kolkata were also eligible to be members of this association. ''Khokababur Pratyabartan'' (English: ''The Return of Little Master'') is a 1960 Indian Bengali-language social drama film directed by Agradoot based on the 1891 short story of the same name by Rabindranath Tagore. The film starring Uttam Kumar in lead with Asit Baran, Sumita Sanyal and others are played supporting role. This film was released on 28 April 1960 under the banner of Agradoot Chitra.
