Jagnula Kunovska
Jagnula Kunovska ( mk, Јагнула Куновска), (born 1943, Kastoria, Greece) is a prominent Macedonian jurist, politician and artist. Biography She was born in the Greek city of Kastoria in 1943. She is the granddaughter of the Kastorian voivode, Nikola Dobrolitski. She was evacuated to the city of Tetovo in the People's Republic of Macedonia in 1948 as one of the many political refugees of the Greek Civil War. She finished a law degree at Skopje University. She then worked as a lawyer in Skopje. She is a member of the Association of writers from Macedonia. She soon became a leading Jurist in the Socialist Republic of Macedonia. In 1990 she became a founding member of the Macedonian political party, Movement for All-Macedonian Action ''(MAAK)''. She was a supporter of Tito Petkovski's bid for the Presidency of the Republic of Macedonia in 1999. Skopje
Skopje ( , , ; mk, Скопје ; sq, Shkup) is the capital and largest city of North Macedonia. It is the country's political, cultural, economic, and academic centre. The territory of Skopje has been inhabited since at least 4000 BC; remains of Neolithic settlements have been found within the old Kale Fortress that overlooks the modern city centre. Originally a Paeonian city, Scupi became the capital of Dardania in the second century BC. On the eve of the 1st century AD, the settlement was seized by the Romans and became a military camp. When the Roman Empire was divided into eastern and western halves in 395 AD, Scupi came under Byzantine rule from Constantinople. Movement for All-Macedonian Action (Dviženje za Semakedonska Akcija - MAAK) was a political party in Macedonia. The party was founded in February 1990, and sought to promote Macedonian independence. As a consequence of the overtly nationalistic name, and the lion as the party emblem, MAAK was initially seen as very radical. However, the party soon became seen as the party of intellectuals. Bulgarianisation
Bulgarisation ( bg, българизация), also known as Bulgarianisation ( bg, побългаряване) is the spread of Bulgarian culture beyond the Bulgarian ethnic space. History A number of government policies are considered to be examples of Bulgarisation, including the attempt of the former communist leadership in the 1980s to assimilate a Turkish population of Bulgaria. During the Communist period of Bulgarian history, the Turkish minority (mainly across Bulgaria's east) of the country were forced to change their names from Turkish or Arabic to Bulgarian in 1984, during Todor Zhivkov's rule. Vlado Bučkovski
Vlado Bučkovski ( mk, Владо Бучковски; born 2 December 1962) is a former prime minister of the Republic of Macedonia, elected by parliament on 17 December 2004. He was previously the defense minister of Macedonia from May 2001 to November 2001 and from November 2002 to December 2004. He was president of the Social Democratic Union of Macedonia. After the 2006 election defeat by the centre-right VMRO-DPMNE, Radmila Šekerinska took over the party's leadership. On 9 December 2008, Bučkovski was found guilty of abuse of power while serving as defence minister during an armed conflict in 2001 and sentenced to three and a half years in jail.
