Mieczysław Jagielski
Mieczysław Zygmunt Jagielski (12 January 192427 February 1997) was a Polish politician and economist. During the times of the People's Republic of Poland he was the last leading politician from the former eastern regions of pre-Second World War Poland. Jagielski became a communist deputy to the legislative body of Poland, the Sejm, in 1957, and he would continue to serve in that capacity for seven consecutive terms until 1985. In 1959, he was posted to be a member of the Central Committee of the Polish United Workers' Party and appointed to be the Minister of Agriculture. After he left his position as Minister of Agriculture in 1970, Jagielski became a Deputy Prime Minister, and the next year, a member of the Politburo of the Polish United Workers' Party. In August 1980, Jagielski represented the government during talks with strikers in the city of Gdańsk. Jim Jagielski (born March 11, 1961) is an American software engineer, who specializes in web, cloud and open source technologies. Biography Jagielski graduated from the Johns Hopkins University in 1983 with a BES in Electrical/Computer Engineering. He was hired by NASA's Goddard Space Flight Center immediately after graduation. In 1994, Jagielski founded jaguNET Access Services, a Web Host and ISP. He has served as CTO for Zend Technologies, CTO for Covalent Technologies, Chief Architect for SpringSource/VMware and under the Office of CTO at Red Hat, Inc. as a Consulting Software Engineer, and Sr. Director at Capital One in the Tech Fellows program. After its third season, The WB and UPN merged to form The CW, which then became the broadcaster for the show in the United States. Jerzy Jagielski (16 September 1897, Warsaw – 5 January 1955, Munich) was a Polish chess master and journalist. He played several times in Warsaw City championships, where tied for 12-13th in 1926, 10-11th in 1930, 5-6th in 1931, 7-8th in 1932, and took 12th in 1934. He won twice in local tournaments at Warsaw 1929 (ahead of Miguel Najdorf, Mieczysław Najdorf and Moshe Czerniak) and 1933, and took 4th place in 1938/1939. Jagielski played for Poland in 3rd unofficial Chess Olympiad at Munich 1936 and won team silver medal. He was also the correspondent of Polish Telegraphic Agency there.
