Li Hsing
Lee Hsing, or Li Hsing (; born ; 20 May 1930 – 19 August 2021) was a Taiwanese film director. He directed more than 30 films between 1959 and 1986. Li Zida was born in Shanghai in 1930, and settled in Taiwan in 1948, studying at National Taiwan Normal University. Li taught for one year, then became a reporter for the ''Independence Evening Post'', a newspaper published by his father , in 1954. Pai Hsien-yung
Kenneth Hsien-yung Pai (; born July 11, 1937) is a Chinese writer from Taiwan who has been described as a "melancholy pioneer". He was born in Guilin, Guangxi at the cusp of the Second Sino-Japanese War. Pai's father was the Kuomintang (KMT) general Bai Chongxi (Pai Chung-hsi), whom he later described as a "stern, Confucian father" with "some soft spots in his heart." Pai was diagnosed with tuberculosis at the age of seven, during which time he would have to live in a separate house from his siblings (of which he would have a total of nine). He lived with his family in Chongqing, Shanghai, and Nanjing before moving to the British-controlled Hong Kong in 1948 as CPC forces turned the tide of the Chinese Civil War. In 1952, Pai and his family resettled in Taiwan, where the KMT had relocated the Republic of China after defeat by the Communists in 1949. Chang Yi (movie Director)
Chang Yi (張毅; 14 December 1951 – 1 November 2020) was a Taiwanese film director. Career Chang was born in Taipei and studied film at Shih Hsin University. He is listed in the New Taiwan Cinema directors. He won the Golden Horse Award for Best Director and Asia Pacific Film Festival because of 1985 film ''Kuei-Mei, a Woman'' (我這樣過了一生). He had an extramarital affair with Loretta Yang, the leading actress in many of Chang's movies. After the affair was exposed by Hsiao Sa, Chang Yi and Loretta Yang left Taiwan film industry and became the founders of contemporary glass studio Liuli Gongfang. Chang Yi died on November 1, 2020. Lorretta Yang acknowledged that Chang had health issues from 2018, particularly with his immune system and kidneys, and that Chang had sought medical treatment in hospital since February 2020.
